2 – Format

2.1 – Main Championship | Rounds 1, 2 & 3

2.1.1 – Practice

2.1.1.1 – League Session

2.1.1.2 – 120 minutes

2.1.1.3 – 30% track usage

2.1.1.4 – In sim date and time based on section 4 of the rules

2.1.2 – Qualifying

2.1.2.1 – 15 minutes

2.1.2.2 – Solo Qualifying

2.1.3 – Heat Format

2.1.3.1 – 20 minutes

2.1.3.2 – 32 grid slots ordered by qualifying time

2.1.3.3 – Top 16 progress to Quarter Final

2.1.4 – Quarter Final Format

2.1.4.1 – New Race Server opened for next round once Heat race results are confirmed (as adjusted by penalties in Section 6)

2.1.4.2 – 15 minutes

2.1.4.3 – 16 grid slots ordered by heat results (as adjusted by penalties in Section 6)

2.1.4.4 – Top 8 progress to Semi Final

2.1.5 – Semi Final Format

2.1.5.1 – New Race Server opened for next round once Quarter Final race results are confirmed (as adjusted by penalties in Section 6)

2.1.5.2 – 10 minutes

2.1.5.3 – 8 grid slots ordered by Quarter Final results (as adjusted by penalties in Section 6)

2.1.5.4 – Top 4 progress to Final

2.1.6 – Shootout Format

2.1.6.1 –New Race Server opened for next round once Semi Final race results are confirmed (as adjusted by penalties in Section 6)

2.1.6.2 – 3 x 8 minutes races using heat system

2.1.6.3 – 4 grid slots; Race 1 grid ordered by Semi Final results (as adjusted by penalties in Section 6), Race 2 and 3 grid ordered by previous race results (as adjusted by penalties in Section 6)

2.2 – Rolex 24 Daytona Grand Final format

2.2.1 – TBC

 

2.3 – Track Selection

2.3.1 – Tracks for Rounds 1-3 are chosen using a random number generator and announced to drivers 24 hours before each round.  The tracks available for selection are:

Indianapolis Road 2022
Laguna Seca
Canadian Tire Motorsports Park
Road Atlanta Full
Hockenheimring GP
Fuji Speedway No Chicane
Sebring International
Suzuka Circuit GP
Road America Full
Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval
Imola GP

2.3.2 – Once a track has been selected for a round it is removed from selection for future rounds.

2.3.3 – The Rolex 24 Grand Final will be held at Daytona International Speedway Road Course to match the real world location the finalists will be competing from.

 

2.4 – Meeting Rules 

2.4.1 – iRacing standard IMSA Gt3 BoP used.

2.4.2 – The car used in Round 1 must be used in all remaining rounds by a driver. GT3’s available are; McLaren MP4-12C, Audi R8 LMS, BMW M4, Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO, Porsche 911 GT3 R, Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020, Mercedes-AMG GT3 2020.

2.4.1 – Open setup

2.4.2 – 0 fast repairs

2.4.3 – Drive through awarded at 12 incidents, and at every 6 incidents after that

2.4.4 – Track usage is set at 30% for the start of each race server and is carried over between sessions within a race server.

2.4.5 – Time of day is set as per Section 3.0 for each race server. The time of day carried over from the previous sessions within a race server.

2.4.6 – Dynamic weather
