Following The PESC Qualifiers Schedule

ARA Porsche Cup

Format – In order to best prepare drivers for the qualifiers, we have taken measures to replicate the series format. Drivers will have a maximum of 2 laps they can set during an 8 minute lone qualifying session. Two 10 minute heats follow, with the top half of drivers progressing straight to the A Final and the rest needing to go to the B Final. The B Final lasts 14 minutes with the top drivers also progressing to the A Final. The A Final lasts the same length as the qualifiers event happening that week, so about 20 to 30 minutes. While the series is geared for those going for a pro license, everyone is welcome to participate

Calendar – The circuits are the same this season as season 6, with us visiting the abbreviated versions of Hockenheim, Silverstone, Red Bull Ring, Watkins Glen and Nurburgring before finishing at Imola. Being such a short season, every round will be significant for the championship, however there is one drop score for the drivers to fall back on

Past Seasons – Season 7 saw our closest championship fight ever with the pro title being decided on the final few corners in the final race (check out the dramatic final lap on the left and one of the other fantastic fights we saw at Monza above). The pro am title was clinched by Haroldas Jotautas (whose great looking livery is at the top of this page) and the amateur title by the American, Ed Eijsenring. Season 6 helped both Tim Jarschel and Mathias Stokbæk qualify for the contenders series, the latter claiming a pro license.

Broadcast – Apex Racing TV will once again cover the series with their premier broadcasts bringing knowledge of the rich history of the series, 3D track maps, their F1 style overlay and much more! This season the action will be covered on Wednesday evenings, with the broadcast launching at 19:00 GMT, the same time as qualifying.
