Set to start on the 17th of September, this new incarnation of the legendary sports car returns for a 8 round season. The new car has a 4 litre flat 6 engine, producing 510 horsepower. With this new engine and other improvements, lap times are expected to decrease by 1% compared to its predecessor. Similar to last season, a combination of heat racing formats and reverse grid races will feature at various rounds. Most rounds will copy the iRacing Porsche Cup official series meaning the free ARA subscription will be particularly useful and practice is easier. Different to the previous three seasons is the day of each round, as the series moves to a Friday evening. Rounds start at the same time however, with qualifying launching at 20:00 UK time. Like all of Apex Racing League’s series, every meeting is broadcast on Apex Racing TV and images are uploaded to the Apex Racing League website!
Over £800 in ARA and SDK subscriptions are on offer for the top pro and am drivers and overall teams championships. The top 3 in each of the pro and am drivers championships will also receive trophies. Pascal Costa and Foxed Gaming took the season 2 pro drivers and overall teams championships respectively, but with the 992 making its debut this season a strong opposition is expected this season. Lower iRated drivers will try to follow in the footsteps of previous amateur driver champions Kev Copeland, Leon Erger and Max Wolf.
