7 – Penalties

7.1 – Penalty System

7.1.1 – Each race will have a team of live stewards. Position penalties can be applied during or after the race as required.

7.1.2 – Incidents can be judged to be a level 1, 2 or 3 penalty based on the judged severity.

7.1.3 – Penalties available:

7.1.3.1 – 3 position penalty for an incident judged to be a Level 1.

7.1.3.2 – 5 position penalty for an incident judged to be a Level 2.

7.1.3.3 – 10 position penalty for an incident judged to be a Level 3.

7.1.3.4 – If necessary, additional post race penalties may be applied at the stewards discretion including disqualification.

7.1.4 – There is no appeals system. The decision of the stewards is final.

7.2 – Driver Protests

7.2.1 – The stewarding team will automatically review any incidents they identify during the race.

7.2.2 – In addition Drivers/teams may request incidents to be looked at during the race by using the “Race Control” channel in Discord.

7.2.3 – Only requests posted during the race will be reviewed, though stewards may still be considering deliberating on incidents after the race has finished.

 

7.2 – Driver Conduct

7.2.1 – Drivers will be susceptible to additional penalties should they direct abuse to other drivers on the iRacing voice or text channels or on discord. Abuse could be in the form of racism, harassment, personal insults, inappropriate language and/or anything else the stewarding team deems to be unacceptable.

7.2.2 – The iRacing sporting code applies to anything not specifically mentioned in this document
