Apex Racing Academy Porsche Cup Championship Season 2
The Apex Racing Academy Porsche Cup Championship is back for a second season! The legendary sports car makes it return for a 9 round, 18 race season, starting on the 27th of January 2021. Drivers will receive a 30 day Apex Racing Academy subscription, gaining access to setups developed by Porsche Tag Heuer eSports Super Cup race winner, Kevin Ellis Jr, one of the fastest drivers on iRacing.
Each meeting will feature one 20 minute race, and a 30 minute reverse grid race, with the track matching that week’s official Porsche iRacing Cup venue. All drivers will have a title to fight for, with an amateur and teams championship to be decided along with the overall drivers’ championship.
The Porsche 911 Cup car has become one of the most formidable machines on iRacing since its debut in 2017. Since 2019, the legendary sports car has starred in the Porsche eSports Super Cup, the most competitive road series on iRacing. The official series has also flourished, continuing to increase in popularity season on season.
For Season 2, the ARA Porsche Cup Championship has Apex Racing Academy and SDK Gaming subscriptions worth a total of £1000 up for grabs!
Nick Madsen won the inaugural ARA Porsche Cup Championship, an impressive feat considering he missed the first meeting of the season. Bob Humphrey and Roberto Ferrari pushed him to the finish, ending up in second and third respectively. Kev Copeland won his second ARL amateur title, with rapid consistency to end up 6th in the overall championship. Prodrive eSports Team meanwhile won the teams title with the aforementioned Roberto Ferrari and Angelo De Cillis.
