Wave Italy ARL Prototype Championship!
Prototypes are back! Season 3 of the Wave Italy ARL Prototype Championship is set to start on 12th of November, with 9 one hour races scheduled for the Dallara P217, Audi R18 and Porsche 919!
Running on Friday evenings, the championship is great for those who run the European Sprint Series, with the track selection largely matching the iRacing official series. Each event lasts 1 hour, meaning fuel stops will be necessary for both classes. Fortunately, this series has no GT cars to negotiate, so straight fights with your rivals are much more common!
We are delighted to welcome back the Audi R18 and Porsche 919 LMP1 cars back into the series. These 875kg, 1200hp hybrid machines are a couple of the fastest sports cars of all time, mixing sophisticated power units with huge levels of aerodynamic downforce. Check out the video alongside to witness the type of racing these cars produce.
The Dallara P2 meanwhile has become one of the most popular cars on the iRacing sim over this past year with its 200mph speed capabilities and super handling characteristics.
This season will once again be sponsored by Wave Italy! Wave Italy provides some of the most comprehensive driver simulator coaching in the world and design their own wheels and pedals to recreate the real life driving experience. The Pro LMP1 Champion will receive either the Wave Impetus Imola or Wave Impetus Monza sim pedals (worth €1,650). The amateur champion meanwhile will receive a half day of Professional Coaching at the Wave Italy Professional Training Center in Verona (worth €1,500)!
