Apex Racing League GT3 Trophy

The Apex Racing League GT3 Trophy is back! GT3 cars make their return in our longest calendar yet, featuring 12 circuits and stretching from the 14th of June to to the 30th of August. A third race format has been added, offering a new challenge to participants!

Season 4 comes hot on the heels of season 3 but with a difference. Across the 12 rounds, 3 formats are used, the newest addition being a sprint format consisting of 2 x 30 minute races (the second having an inverted grid). Along with this new format, the traditional 1 hour race, and 1 hour race with a reverse grid (with points being earned in qualifying) formats are used.  The mix of these 3 formats will add an extra element to a great series, ensuring thrilling action with a variety of race winners.

As has been the case in the past, the schedule follows the tracks run in the IMSA iRacing series and VRS GT Sprint series, meaning we will be racing at many iconic circuits. Any of the GT3 cars can be used and for the hour long races, fuel tanks are restricted, mandating a pit stop.

Races are on Tuesday evenings, with a two hour practice preceding a 10 minute open qualifying. Qualifying, the race and driver interviews are broadcast by Apex Racing TV on YouTube. Every round has post race stewards investigating incidents reported by drivers, giving out a mixture of qualifying bans and penalty points to encourage fair racing.

All drivers will have a title to fight for. There are 3 driver classes – Pro, Pro Am and Am – and the teams championship. The top drivers and teams from each championship will receive a total of £1800 in SDK Gaming and Apex Racing Academy subscriptions. Trophies are awarded to the top drivers in each drivers championship as well! Season 3 saw 3 driver classes be used for the first time. Racing out on track became all the more exciting with far more drivers in play for the win in their class.

Come and join us on the grid and fight to see if you have what it takes to master the 3 different formats and your competitors!
