Season 7 of the Apex Racing Academy Formula 3 Virtual Racing School Super series is here! Our most established and competitive single seater championship is the first to be broadcast live from Apex Racing TV’s studio, providing a whole new level of sim racing coverage.

We have made a few changes from season 6. PESC drivers Kevin Ellis and Peter Berryman become our new stewards. Point penalties have been discarded for post race time penalties. A pro-am class has been established meaning we have 3 classes for the first time. Official practice races are hosted the night prior to each round and points rules have been adjusted to make the series more fair, especially for amateur drivers. The best change though has to be in regards to the broadcast however, which will be brought to you from the ARTV studio, providing pre and post race coverage of all 9 rounds.

As with all our Apex Racing Academy championships, we are using the official series schedule. The highlight for this season is going to be the new Magny Cours venue, one of the best drivers’ circuits in Europe, which hosts the penultimate round of the championship. There is no round on the 8th of October in order to avoid clashing with the popular Petit Le Mans special event.

Qualifying for each meeting starts at 20:00 UK Time. We are once again using our elimination heat racing format for this season. After a 10 minute multi car qualifying, those who finished in odd positions are entered into heat 1, and those in even positions are entered into heat 2, both of which are 10 minutes in length. The top drivers from each heat head straight into the 18 minute A final whilst the rest go to the 14 minute B final. However you can still get into the A final even if you miss the cut in the heats as the top drivers from the B final also book themselves a spot. This is the most entertaining format we broadcast on Apex Racing TV, with the fights for the advancing spots possessing just as much weight as the fights for the race lead
