ARL Prototype Championship

Are you a GTP driver who wants to be rid of the slower classes? Want to instead race against 59 other GTPs spread across 3 driver divisions? If so, season 7 of the ARL Prototype Championship is for you! Beginning on the 4th of January, our upcoming season is set to produce hypercar racing like you have never seen before…

Whilst reducing the series to just a single class removes the multiclass aspect of racing we enjoy so much, the series is now able to become the ultimate sprint series for GTP cars. Gaps now need to be earned through repetitive fast lap times rather than making a break in the traffic, promising more cars to be fighting for the top positions come the final laps. Competition is also doubled, with up to 60 cars fighting for the same overall race win, although our 3 driver classes (pro, pro-am and am) ensures anyone of any level can fight for a title.

Our popular 30 minute qualifying returns, with each driver division having the circuit for 10 minute intervals. 7 of the 9 rounds feature our classic 60 minute race, however for the Daytona and Spa rounds, we have extended 75 minute races, testing every driver’s concentration capacity

This season once again copies the IMSA official series schedule, meaning setups and datapacks will be readily available for each of the 4 GTPs. Le Mans is an epic opening round in early January. One of our 75 minute races, Daytona, is hosted just a couple of days prior to the 24 hours. NΓΌrburgring combined, Aragon and Montreal all make their long overdue series debuts, joined by the staples of Watkins Glen, Sebring, Spa and our season finale host, Silverstone.

The series returns to its traditional Thursday night slot, with qualifying beginning at 19:40 GMT and the race at 20:10 GMT. Every round is broadcast on Apex Racing TV, featuring their 3D track maps, WEC-style overlay, custom camera packs and professional commentators.

Β£650 worth of Apex Racing Academy subscriptions are up for grabs across the pro, pro am and am driver divisions, as well as the teams championship, with each driver champion also receiving a trophy!
