Apex Racing League Mazda Cup

The Apex Racing League Mazda Cup is making its debut on the 1st of March! This series will be the first for the legendary Mazda MX5 cup car, with each of the 6 meetings consisting of three 15 minute races.

This intense format, along with large reverse grids is likely to make for some frantic action, which will be great to watch on Apex Racing TV. The series is accessible for everyone, with each track being part of the iRacing base content and fixed setups being used. Amateur teams and drivers will fight for their own prizes which include trophies, along with SDK Gaming and Apex Racing Academy subscriptions totalling £450 in value.

The Mazda MX5 cup car is the starting car for all iRacing road members as a low powered vehicle to teach the basics in car control. However, the sports car is one of the best cars to battle in, with side by side action possible at every turn and a relatively even playing field due to the simplicity of the machine. We can also visit several tight circuits that the Japanese car thrives at, albeit the Daytona round is sure to be entertaining, with a draft race to the chequered flag likely.

This series is open to anyone, from rookies to veterans. Whilst measures have been made to make it accessible for new drivers, experienced racers will not find a better arena to have action packed racing and exhibit their race craft skills
