ARA Porsche Cup returns for season 14 with an 8 round calendar, this time on Tuesday nights! Drivers tackle our elimination heat format in 6 of the events while two rounds feature a single 60 minute race, all of which are broadcast by Apex Racing TV. The action starts on the first day of the new iRacing season, the 16th of September!
Our calendar follows the iRacing official series, giving drivers a full week to prepare for each round – assisted by our free 1 month subscription to Apex Racing Academy which every driver receives for registering for the series. That means circuits such as Mexico City and The Bend will make their ARL debuts. Familiar circuits to every driver join them however with Hockenheim, Barcelona and Road Atlanta while Imola takes its customary place as the season finale.
Most rounds feature our elimination heat format. Three races are contested to decide who gets into the 30 car A final where the most points are available. There are 3 driver divisions in the series, however points are awarded for a driver’s overall position, meaning every place counts! Drivers are notified on the weather forecast for the upcoming round in the week leading up to the event – however this is only a forecast, so the exact conditions are uncertain.
SZESE E-Sport made a big impact on their debut last season, dominating the teams championship as well as taking the pro drivers title with Dávid Tóth. They fell short in the pro ams however with North Sim Racing’s Mattia Happacher taking the spoils while the ams was clinched by ARL veteran Steve Claeys for Eagle Speed Academy e-sports.
The top drivers from each division as well as the top teams receive a share of £650 worth of ARA subscriptions. The top 3 drivers in each division also receive a trophy to remember their campaign by.
As long as you have a D class sports cars or formula license, you can register to the series. So get your name down now to get a place on the grid!
