ARA Skip Barber Championship Season 1
Apex Racing Academy Bring you a brand new series, the car of choice is the Skip Barber. The inaugral series of the ARA Skip Barber Championship comes to ARL on 20th October! The new season will run across 9 meetings, each consisting of three 15 minute races.
The series is accessible to everyone, with open setups being used and an amateur drivers championship to be fought, meaning everyone can fight for the prizes worth almost £900.00 in value, including trophies and subscriptions to SDK Gaming and Apex Racing Academy.
The Skip Barber Formula 2000 features a 150-horsepower, four-cylinder engine. The 2.0-liter, single-overhead-cam power plant is mated to a five-speed sequential gearbox driving a 1,250-lb. tubular space-frame chassis. Capable of speeds up to 135 mph, the FSB 2000 accelerates from a standstill to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and through 100 mph in less than 10 seconds.
One of the most basic, but purest racing cars in existence, the Skip Barber Formula 2000 offers drivers the chance both to learn the dynamics of an uncompromised racing car and how to compete with other drivers in identical equipment – lessons that are applicable in any car on any race track in the world.
This series is open to anyone, from rookies to veterans. Whilst measures have been made to make it accessible for new drivers, experienced racers will not find a better arena to have action packed racing and exhibit their race craft skills.Join us, Wednesday

I've been racing in ARL for several years, taking part in the Mazda, Porsche Cup and GT series. I'm an amateur racer and was in need of help to improve. Joining the leagues has helped me work on my race craft for official iRacing races.John TresidderMazda Cup, Porsche Cup & GT Driver
The streams are held by Apex with fabulous commentators, and with a great group of racers on Discord.
From taking part in ARL leagues, I strongly recommend signing up!
Raced a couple of ARL seasons and they were by far the most professionally run leagues I've been a part of. The stream is entertaining with a great commentary team and it's good to watch back the day after the race. Admins do a cracking job keeping an impartial eye on any racing incidents.Rob WinterMazda Cup & GT Driver
Best league I have done so far in iRacing, very competitive racing from front to back. I would recommend Apex Racing League to anyone! Some of the best and cleanest driving I have witnessed in iRacing for a long time!Jason HodgsonGT3 Am Trophy Driver
There's plenty of racing in a series regardless of skill level. ARL attracts great talent, and racing with those drivers will make you betterDan ParmeleePorsche Cup & Mazda Cup Driver
